About Domain Name Approval

For an agency launching a new website, Domain name approval enables the use of an az.gov domain. To preserve the integrity of the az.gov namespace, az.gov domains are limited to Arizona government organizations at the state and local levels.

To qualify for an az.gov domain, the requirement is to be either 1) a state governmental entity/program, city, or township represented by an elected body of officials or 2) a county or parish represented by an elected body of officials.

Agency Platform offers state agencies websites that connect to the Secure Checkout Service for online payments. The Agency Platform team works with the Web Portal team in setting up a user-friendly website that is capable of handling credit card and ACH payments for state agencies.

Repository.az.gov is a collection of images owned by, created for, or licensed for use by the State of Arizona. A variety of media repositories enable users to locate photos, icons, logos, and more to use for Official State of Arizona website projects. Images belonging to or licensed to the State may also be added and made available for use by other Arizona State Agencies, Boards, and Commissions.
