911inform Compliance Project

The passing of new federal legislation (Kari’s Law and the Ray Baum’s Act) requires updated compliance for making 911 calls. Kari's Law removes the need to dial 9 prior to getting an outside line and requires that the front desk/security receive a notification that a 911 call was made. The Ray Baum Act cites the need for a dispatchable location from a multi-line telephone system. For example, if someone called 911 from a state building, their exact location in the building must be available to the 911 operator, including floor number, suite number, and conference room or desk location.

In an effort to remain compliant with these new regulations, the ASET Enterprise Infrastructure & Communications (EIC) team has implemented the “911inform Location Discovery Solution” on behalf of all state agencies, boards, and commissions that participate in AZNet.

To learn more about this product, please view 911inform's Location Discovery Solution video. This solution ensures compliance with the new laws and provides dispatchable locations when a 911 call is placed from a state device, including state-issued softphones, Jabber, and Genesys.

If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected] or your Engagement Manager.
