Mainframe Prime covers Hosted mainframe Central Processing Unit (CPU) utilization occurring between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM on regular business days.  The Mainframe CPU utilization covers various processing workloads on the Mainframe. Those workload types offered on the Hosted Mainframe include: CICS Processing, IMS/DC Processing, Batch Processing, CA/Datacom, TSO Processing, and DB/2. Mainframe Prime and Non-Prime represent windows of time that are used to determine rates applied to specific services (see Related Services below).

Email marketing is a web-based interface utilized by agencies and boards to send frequent large-scale communications, track responses, view analytics, and improve overall outreach. This service is currently provided through SendGrid.

What problems it solves

Email marketing services aim to improve low delivery rates, low open rates, low click rates, high unsubscribe rates, high spam complaints, low active ratios, and limited post-click activity.

Mainframe Non-Prime covers Hosted mainframe CPU utilization occurring between 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM on regular business days. All weekends and Holidays are considered Non-Prime. The Mainframe CPU utilization covers various processing workloads on the Mainframe. Those workload types offered on the Hosted Mainframe include: CICS Processing, IMS/DC Processing, Batch Processing, CA/Datacom, TSO Processing, and DB/2. Mainframe Prime and Non-Prime represent windows of time that are used to determine rates applied to specific services (see Related Services below).

About API Hosting

This service provides a cloud-based platform to centrally host and manage APIs. Using this service we can create APIs to enable communication to your backend services and applications. API Gateway handles all the tasks involved in accepting and processing up to hundreds of thousands of concurrent API calls, including traffic management. ASET also provides the added security of Okta Authentication.

About Dedicated SQL Server

This service provides a database management system to handle routine database operations and maintenance on behalf of state agencies. A database server has the primary function of storing and retrieving data as requested by other software applications within the same computer and across a network. Dedicated SQL Server provides performance enhancement and additional flexibility with dedicated hosting options.

Mainframe Online Storage allows agency users to effectively store and retrieve their data in a real-time environment. Data is stored on a state-of-the-art Hosted Direct Access Storage Device (DASD) solution.

About Shared SQL Server

This service provides a Shared Database Server Cluster located at the State's managed cloud environment hosting facility based on agencies/boards/commissions availability requirements, excluding maintenance windows. This service also provides a relational database management system to handle routine database operations and maintenance on behalf of state agencies.

Mainframe Virtual Tape Storage is provided and hosted by the Virtual Tape System (VTS) - an archival storage technology that makes it possible to save data as if it were being stored on tape. Data files that are extraordinarily large or have backup requirements are sent to and stored on the VTS.

About Rack Space Tucson

Rack space provides a physical rack unit in the State of Arizona’s Tucson Shared Hosted Data Center for agencies that need rack space for their IT devices.

What problems it solves

Rack space is a solution for agencies that have run out of rack space or agencies that require physical rack space for their IT devices.

About Shared File Server

The Shared File Server service is a low-cost solution for customers who want their data in a secure, managed environment. Customers on the Shared File Server are separated both logically and physically. Each customer will have their own data space that is only accessible by their staff.

What problems it solves

Beneficial to agencies/boards that run legacy applications needing to be hosted locally and require multiple users to log into applications or access related files.
