Enterprise Productivity and Collaboration - Institute principles that establish a standard of work across the state through self-promoting practices that demonstrate excellent stewardship of state resources while delivering valuable solutions and services.
Cloud Savings and Investments - The state realized more than $1.5 million in overall savings from statewide cloud contracts. Numerous agencies have purchased additional savings plans and reserved instances across the various cloud tenants, which range from 26% - 70% savings year over year on top of our discount programs.
Agency Platform and Cloud First - Through the Cloud First initiative, the state has achieved more than $10.8 million in recurring cost savings/avoidance, including $4.2+ million in network connectivity and circuits and $6.6+ million in data center expenses (square footage, power savings, cooling and facility and maintenance renewal expenses).
AZNet Optimization and Refresh - The removal of a property surcharge tax on the AZNet III contract via an audit resulted in a monthly reduction of approximately $60,000 in taxes, with an overall cost avoidance of $3.6 million over the five-year contract term. In addition, per the AZNet III contract, all agency network equipment is being replaced, including routers, switches, and WiFi access points for the use of AZNet’s wireless program. This new equipment replaces out-of-date, unsupported, and vulnerable devices on the state’s infrastructure while adding additional bandwidth capabilities and security enhancements.
FY25
IT Strategic Planning - Every year, agencies in the State of Arizona are required to submit IT Strategic Plans to the ADOA-ASET. These plans address matters regarding IT challenges, goals, and budgets. A total of 80 IT strategic plans were submitted for FY25.
Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG911) Grant Program - Supporting the migration and implementation of Next Generation 9-1-1 technologies to enhance the capabilities of public safety responders and maintain the safety of Arizona residents. As of FY25, 74 out of 81 migrations have been completed.
