Strategic Planning

Project Oversight Services

The Arizona Department of Administration is legislatively chartered with evaluating and monitoring IT projects across the State with $25,000 or more in development costs.  Once approved by the State CIO or by ITAC, with or without conditions, the Strategic Oversight team is responsible for monitoring the status and progress of the projects, which includes periodic review of expenditure and activity reports provided by ABCs that indicate how project risks, issues, schedule, and costs are being managed.  Strategic Oversight provides the following services in this area:

Business Justification Services

The business case is needed to help decision-makers ensure a proposed IT project or investment has value to the public and the State, and is consistent with approved Strategic IT Plans.  In addition to describing project goals and objectives, the business case should establish a specific time period for development, and identify resource requirements, associated technologies, and costs for both the implementation and ongoing operational lifecycle, as well as any risks and issues that may be associated with the project.  Strategic Oversight provides the following services in this area:

Strategic Oversight

The Strategic Oversight team consists of a team of Oversight Analysts and an assigned APF Financial Analyst.  The Oversight team continues to work closely with the ADOA ASET Engagement Managers (EM) to help agencies, boards, and Commmissions to successfully submit a Project Investment Justification (PIJ) for approval.  The team works with all Agencies, Boards and Commissions in order to advance IT planning and help ensure the success of information technology (IT) projects across t

Enterprise Project Management Office

The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) provides portfolio and Project Management of key ADOA-ASET Projects (Strategic & Operational Projects). The EPMO also strengthens program and project management within ASET overall and supports strengthening these fuctions for all State agencies. Members of the EPMO share common tools/templates and follow national best practices. Further, EPMO Project Managers manage projects to all State processes (PIJ, ITAC, JLBC, APF, APP, HRIS, AFIS, Lean,ITSC, budget cycle).

State of Arizona Web Portal

The centerpiece of ADOA-ASET's Digital Government service offering is the State of Arizona Web Portal, az.gov. With oversight and management provided by ADOA-ASET, the State web portal provides application development, website development, application hosting, disaster recovery and support services for State and local government agencies. Additional ADOA-ASET digital government services include extensive webmaster tools, .gov/az.gov domain registration and a website style guide for agency web-based initiatives.

Arizona Cybersecurity Team (ACT) Recommendations

The Arizona Cybersecurity Team (ACT) provides seven recommendations to improve cybersecurity in our State. The recommendations focus on: improving information sharing; strengthening incident response; enhancing consumer protections; centralizing efforts to increase awareness of cybersecurity threats; decreasing risk; helping Arizonans better protect themselves online; and improving our educational programs as part of increasing the talent pipeline to better prepare our future workforce and defend our organizations. Domain Name Reauthorization

Instructions:

  1. Submit the webform below for each of your agency's .gov domain names
  2. ASET Digital Government team will process your submission and create your re-authorization letter
  3. You will receive an email to complete the authorization of the letter via electronic signature
  4. ASET Digital Government team will approve your letter for you
  5. ASET Digital Government team will send your letter to DotGov on your behalf

 

Name of the person who we can contact with any questions and who will be responsible for providing information to fill out the authorization request.
For State Agencies and State Programs, ASET will accept authorization from the Director or the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of a State Agency or the Domain Name Administrator with appointed authority from the State Agency. For cities and townships, ASET will accept authorization from the mayor (or equivalent official) or highest-ranking information technology (IT) official with an appointed authority from the mayor. For counties and parishes, ASET will accept authorization from County Commissioners (or equivalent officials) or the highest ranking IT official with appointed authority from the County Commissioner.
